Mr T's Hot Air Balloon Themed Baptism Party

Each party I tell myself that I will get better and quicker with posting pics, but here I am 4 months after the party.. again!!

About the Day!

Way back in early April (honestly it feels like forever ago) we had Mr T Christened.

As with the other two kidlets, we head back to the very same church where we were married to perform the ceremony. The day itself was a really small affair, we only had immediate family and the godparents.

This year we were fortunate enough to have a late morning service, which meant that instead of the usual morning tea to follow, we had a lunch (and a sleep in!) back at our place.

What we ate...

Hubby came up with the genius idea of getting our fave local Italian restaurant to cater. So we feasted on pizzas, pastas and salads and my goodness it was SO easy as we picked it all up on the way home from the service!

Of course I couldn't resist a super simple little cake/dessert table to follow the lunch...

So simple (and on a budget), but of course I had to have a theme! So hot air balloon in shades of blue and yellow it was.

Little details...

The cake and the cookies were from my amazing friend Sharmila at Sweet Creations by Sharms.

The cupcakes and the jelly pots I did along with a small selection of lollies for guests to take home.

I also wrapped the chocolate bars myself in some gift wrap and popped a little cloud cut out on that I stamped with a little t. Simple but pretty cute!

The decorations were all done (very) last minute the night before!

Would you believe the little man is one next WEEK?! Me either. So I am right in the thick of party planning for that but definitely not feeling utterly organised at all!

If you'd like to see some of our other baptism themes or 1st birthday party celebrations, you can see those posts here. Thank you for stopping by!
