I have it on good authority that there are now only 7 weeks TODAY until Christmas! So I say it is officially time to get in the Christmas spirit and I may have made a few sneaky Christmas decorating purchases this week to that effect... I am just proud of myself for the restraint of waiting til November to do this!
One of the biggest highlights in the lead up to Chrissie last year was our visit to Santa's Magical Kingdom here in Melbourne. If you missed that post last year, you can read it right here. It is so weird to look back on those pictures this time last year and not even have Mr T in the picture (or be pregnant). It really does go to show just how much can change in a single year!
Anyway I am super excited that this amazing Christmas experience is back again this year - and better than ever! I guarantee that the kids (and you) will love the different activities on offer including the Circus Spectacular Show, the roving Christmas characters, all of the rides and carnival attractions, Snowland and my favourite - the gingerbread decorating - yum!! For more information, dates and times, pricing and everything else, you can check out the website here.
If you would like to get aong to check this out with your family, I am lucky to have a faily pass to be given away for the opening on Saturday 21 November 2015 at the 10:00am session (please note that this pass can only be used on this date and is not transferrable).

Everyone thinks it, but no one says it - presents! I love gift giving!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the pure joy and excitement on my children's faces. I love that you can literally see their eyes sparkling in photos. These moments melt my heart and create the most magical memories to scrapbook!!
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING!!!!! I JUST LOVE CHRISTMAS!! Celebrating with family and friends, choosing gifts for those we love, wrapping presents, the delicious food, my children's excitement, Christmas carols, Christmas movies, receiving presents, decorating the house....EVERYTHING!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is the decorations and the peppermint log. Although it may be the carols and I normally still have them playing in January because I don't want the season to end.
ReplyDeleteI love the whole spirit of Christmas - the presents ,the discounts that shops offer , festive food, new clothes, new toys for kids and most importantly the holidays :)

I love singing Christmas Carols - it really gives that Christmas spirit - my kids think I am nuts but I love it :)
ReplyDeleteOh, it's so hard to give an answer to this as it's simply my favourite time of year. I love "buying" gifts from the World Vision Smiles catalogue with my children, and teaching them that Christmas isn't just about receiving but giving too. I love going into the city to see the Myer Christmas Windows, and then allowing our three daughters to buy one Christmas Tree ornament each. I love playing the role of Santa. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing that I get to make a magical Christmas for my children!

Everyone is happy and vibrant. You get to meet your family and extended families. You go on trips. You decorate your house, you make yummy food.Laughter and joy is in every household. Its the best time of the year!
ReplyDeleteI asked Miss Nine and her reply was 'I love being with my family'. She knows that at Christmas time, Mum gets time off work, she gets time off school and stay-at-home Dad, daughter, Mum and dog get to play it cool, visit the pool, sleep in and do whatever we want. And that's the best present of all!
ReplyDeleteMy fav thing about xmas is just simple ...time with my family. Keep the day and weeks around xmas as simple as possible and say yes to stopping and playing with my kids. They don't remember if xmas was elaborate, but they value our time so much.
ReplyDeleteI love the excitement and joy that the festive season brings, celebrating the simple things in life - family, friends and food, fun, love and laughter.
ReplyDeletexmas is such a magical and joyful time spending quality time with all your loved ones but I especially love seeing the pure excitement through my kids eyes, there is nothing better (except all the food, and not having to justify why your are eating so much)

DeleteI love everything! Happiness, joy, family, food, summer, Christmas lights, late night shopping...... I could go on and on :)
ReplyDeleteI love, friends, family, laughter, and lots and lots of delicious food. I would prefer a full tummy, than a fat sack of presents!
ReplyDeleteI love to watch the kids believe in the magic of Christmas
ReplyDeleteWatching my children's faces light up when they open their presents Xmas morning.
ReplyDeletethe fact that my husband gets a week off work and the joy of my kids getting to spend quality time with him.

The build up and excitement preparing for the big day, every year I still get butterflies in my tummy in the days before Christmas. I love how this time of year makes me feel like a little girl all over again (if that makes sense!) - Di

I love the magic of it all, Christmas seems to bring out the best in people, its such a happy time of year, end of year concerts, bbq's, dinners, thoughtfully choosing gifts, giving to those in need, spending time with our loved ones, I love christmas <3 (BeckAndrew)
ReplyDeleteI love that Christmas is a time that brings the whole family and dear friends together to celebrate in love, over eating and enjoying the long warm days. It is also a time where my boys can learn the importance to GIVE more and generously not only to receive. (May Lavale)
ReplyDeleteI love everything about Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe smell of eggnog and gingerbread baking! decorating gingerbread houses, Christmas Carols, Decorating the Christmas tree, but the very best thing about Christmas is being surrounded with those you love and the act of giving brings the Christmas spirit to life!
The tradition of making Grandma's shortbread, besides tasting great it reminds me of her, my Mum and now I'm doing it with my daughter.
